Who are We?
We are a group of highly trained engineers with enterprise-level experience in computer and backbone networking, application development, systems administration, and data center management. It also so happens that we have a passion for education. Thus, we have created this school as a way to reach out to individuals who want to accelerate a career or a business based around IT consulting.
Our Business Outreach Program aims to deliver essential IT knowledge to small business owners, managers, and staff so they can empower their businesses to make the most of technology.
It's about knowledge -- we have it, and we want you to have it too.
Mission Statement
Technology should be about empowerment, not frustration. At Open Source Academy, we aim to bring the power of technology to small business and individuals through quality teaching and learning.
Sharing technology and esoteric knowledge is not common un our industry. IT professionals have often acted as though the transfer of specialized knowledge somehow threatens their livelihood, but it is the opposite. When ordinary people embrace the promise of technology, a world of potential opens up -- both to them and to the IT professional..
It's Time to move this knowledge from the world of a few highly focused individuals, and deliver it to the people who can use it the most.
